Pepy’s Galley (Mar Vista)

I read about the Mexicana breakfast Chilequilles here and Pepy’s Galley is where people recommended getting. Pepy’s Galley is inside a bowling alley. Like the bowling alley, the diner also seems to be frozen in time. Chilequilles is listed under Spanish breakfast, indeed one scary fattening breakfast ^^;; It’s basically deep fried corn tortilla chips with loads of cheese and chiles. The chips were still crunchy at first but they got soggy as I ate slow. It’s totally trashy tasting, I need cleansing badly! ^^;; I think I’d enjoyed more if it were the soft tortilla chips with mole sauce. I have to say I’m actually more in awe by the time warping mid-century vibe diner and the patrons (white hair folks, cops, etc.)

    Haha, seems like the wrong place for you to go. The people there probably thought what the hell this girl was doing there. ^^;;

    yeah I kept checking to see if I’m totally out of place, thankfully there were another table of young girls, so it was alright. ^^;;;
