Head out to Malibu even though it was a rainy day, we had lunch atMalibu Seafood which has nice ocean view patios for seatings. I got a big bowl of Steamed Mussels for $8.95 which is a great deal. The mussels are fresh and big too. The broth (with lots of garlic) is very delicious. There are lots of big pieces of clam in the Clam Chowder, even the taste is just alright and a bit generic, it’s worth the $3.50.

Jon got the Clam Strips & Fries which is quite a miss, you can barely taste the clam as they’re covered by too much fried batter. I’m not a fan of deep fried seafood in general. It’s a pity that they don’t seem to have fresh raw oyster on the menu, and their grill fish dishes seem a bit pricey. I want to try their steamed clam next time.

    I didn’t think that the clams were that bad. They were, well, fried clams. I just wish that this place served beer.

    I guess girls have weight-control in mind constantly so unless the greasy fried stuff is exceptionally delicious, it is not worth the calorie quota…^^;;;

    the fried clams aren’t bad at all. But yeah like you said, they’re good in the fried clams way. 😛 May be we can bring our own beer there next time?
