DSCN8750.jpgI blogged about Grub long time ago, since then I’ve only had order-in from them at work from time to time (I usually get the Carnita wrap). My friend raved about their breakfast menu before so I have to give it try. The Bacon side order Jon got is delicious! The bacon seems to be cooked with BBQ sauce (?) so they got an extra sweet and salty flavor to them which I like a lot. I tried the French Toast which is quite different from what you normally get at other places. There’re options of Crossaint and raisin bread and I chose crossaint. I’m not sure if crossaint works that well for french toast compare with regular toast, it’s definitely different and interesting to try but the more I eat it the more I find it a bit too soggy for my liking. I like the side order of Chicken Sausage a lot, they’re cook with Pesto sauce and bell peppers.

French toast made from croissant….err the squashed look isn’t too tempting. ^^;; Three eggs is a lot for one person! The bacon looks like those chinese dried meat snack(牛肉乾).

Hey if you are not already tired of cafe food, tried Masa of Echo Park today and it’s pretty nice! The place is known for its “Chicago style pizza” but we got the crepes and bread pudding, they were not extraordinary but good enough 🙂 I quite like the comfy atmosphere there!

yeah croissant is a bit too flabby for french toast I think. now you mentioned it, the bacon does taste like chinese dried beef jerky indeed!

ohhh Masa looks good, I’ll def try it. Thanks for the recommendation. Wow you guys venture to Echo park for lunch! You should explore thre more. May be you can go further to Silver lake too. That’s the advantage of working in China town, it’s surrounded by all the hip areas!
