La Maison du Pain (Wilshire Vista)

By in 07: Mid-Wilshire

DSC03094.jpgWho knew there’s a cute French bakery La Maison du Pain in the middle of a street surrounded mostly by auto shops! This Wilshire Vista neighborhood seems to be growing with cool looking boutiques spotting here and there.

We tried order from their menu: Croque Monsieur & Croque Madame. The sunny side up egg on my croque madame didn’t comes up right…but it’s very yummy. Fluffy airy brioche and it has this sauce (forgot the name) inside that made it. The pastry counters are full of baked goods~ We bought many home. I wish this were my neighborhood bakery! 😀

haven’t try their sweet pastries (surprisingly…we were in the mood for savory and cheese kind). Na, not pumpkin either. I’ve read an article that it’s opened by these Philippines sisters who dreamed of opening a French bakery, (so was the other French bakery I blogged about couple entries ago). haha it is Asians who brings in French bakery to LA~~
