Cooks County is a cute neighborhood farm-to-table restaurant in the Miracle Mile area. Their menu is seasonal and changes all the time. We walked in for brunch without a reservation and was soon seated. The tables were a little too close to each other as they pack in a lot into a tight space.
It’s nice to see interesting brunch dishes on the menu and not just the usual 2 eggs with bacon (of course nothing wrong with that either~).
Donuts: fluffy and fresh!
Poached eggs with flageolet beans, braised greens, roasted tomato and bacon.
A very hearty meal.
Fried eggs with chick peas, yogurt, harissa and grilled olive bread
A simple egg dish with Morocaan flavors. I enjoy the fried chick peas and harissa a lot.
Overall, we weren’t blown away by the place but we enjoyed the dishes nevertheless. Though this place is probably a bit too pricey to be our regular neighborhood brunch joint, I appreciated their interesting and evolving brunch menu.
