Angel’s (Mammoth Lake)

By in 05: US Other

Up on Mammoth, it’s mostly ski lodge food: red meat, burgers, BBQ ribs…etc. type of big hearty meal ^^;; But in cold weather they’re perfect comfort food. This place reminds me of the place next to our office back in LA, except this one is much better~~

What a pleasant surprise! They have scones as ‘premeal bread’, and the butter is very light, creamy honey sweet butter, so good! Right: an appertizer sampler, so-so.

Here’s the real deal: their smoked pork BBQ rib is their signature item. The pork was quite fat but tender and juicy. Though it’s their BBQ sauce that made it exceptional.

    The scone looks good!(But doesn’t look like scone ^^;;)
    Is the BBQ pork huge? You finished all by yourself?? I haven’t had very good BBQ sauce so far – it always tastes too sweet and “pungent”! ^^;;; Is the sauce homemade there?

    HEY I’M SICK SINCE GETTING BACK FROM MAMMOTH TOO…SERIOUSLY FLU! BUT I CAN’T REST BECAUSE THERE’S STILL SO MUCH WORK TO DO AND DEADLINE TO RUSH T__T. WHERE IS THE FUNERAL HELD?

    SEAT, THE SAUCE ARE HOMEMADE (THEY’RE SO PROUD OF IT TOO, CALLED IT ‘SOON TO BE FAMOUS’ SAUCE), VERY GOOD. THE PORK WAS OF COURSE HUGE, I ATE LIKE…ONE AND A HALF BONE, IT CAN LASTED FOR 3 DINNERS~

    the funeral was really far, and it took like 6hours to get there.
    plus I had to leave on the same day so I had to put in another 6hours to get back, so guess that’s why I got sick….-_-;

    well, hope your flu is better! take chinese medicine and rest as much as possible!!:D

    6 HOURS!!?!?!? by train? I would have stayed the night there.
    That’s the same amount of hours to drive from LA to Mammoth~
