Nook Neighborhood Bistro (West LA)

By in 11: West LA

Dinner with 2 friends, back at Nook Bistro.

Mine: Maple Mustard Glazed Ribeye with brandy-apple saute and crispy buttermilk onions. Medium rare, perfectly grilled, very juicy very good! The onion rings are so thinly sliced and delicate, very seasoned~ My friend’s Oregon Tilapia crispy with roasted beets, fennel, Nicoise olives, haricorts verts and soy orange emulsion.

Arctic Charr with autumn squash and shiitake risotto, maple sage brown butter. Brownie Cup with Vanilla Gelato, taste like shouffle. My friends liked it for not sweet at all, but it was a bit too light for me.
DSC02022.jpgChocolate Banana Bread Pudding, very yummy with strong banana flavor, with fine bitter chocolate taste. Though the top layer seems a bit stale (sit for awhile as it was pretty late?)

    How is the value? Your previous entry on this place looked more casual, while this time is quite proper bistro food.

    The desserts look cute and nice, yum!

    The entree are all around $17-22…not cheap despite the ‘neighborhood bistro hidden in stripmall’ thing…^^;;;
