The Hungry Cat

By in 08: Hollywood

Since that last visit, we’ve gone back a few times.

Cured Arctic Char with Fennel, Apple and pomegranates. Pomegranate, pretty and delicious~

The Oyster Stew wasn’t a regular item. Instead they have the Smoked Haddock Chowder with Leeks and Yukon Gold Potatoes. It’s very flavorful, though the smoked fish get a bit too salty (no bread to go with).

Pretty Cocktails (very good) Grapefruit Cooler

IMG_0403.jpg
Pacific Blue Prawn Carpaccio with Peppercress, Cilantro, Scallion, Peanuts and Sambal, colorful and multi-texture, pretty good.

Oyster on Half Shell, so good, sooooo good~

IMG_0398.jpgIMG_0406.jpg
House smoked salmon, beluga lentils, arugula, poached Jidori Egg and Saffron Aioli$14 and Roasted Dorade, Grilled Radicchio, Endive, Blood Orange, Arugula and Pistachios $17. The grilled radicchio was a bit too burnt, but the overall dish is very tasty, colorful and not boring.

Seems like we’ve pretty much tried most of their seasonal menu, I can’t wait for more new dishes.

    Great pics. I love HC. I never order any of the salads, so it’s cool to see them.

    By the way, thanks for the linkage on the blog roll. There’s a problem with the URL, though; it’s got an extra ” attached to it.

    Hi Taste-Buzz, thanks for pointing it out, I fix the link already~

    The chowder looks thick. There is this chain shop here called Chowder’s and the soup is not bad but always too salty. Also it is usually so thick that I want rice instead bread – since salty+thick feels more “sauce” than “soup” ^^;;;
