Luscious Dumpling (San Gabriel)

By in 01: San Gabriel

Sorry for the slow update, we’ve been busy at work for the past weeks.
We went back to Luscious Dumpling, the small family-owned Northern Chinese dumpling restaurants, hoping to try the soup dumplings that was sold out last time. Again, we could not make it there early enough to beat the crowd, even though we did arrived just slightly after noon. The server crossed out the sold out items on the menu, which included the soup dumplings. What a pity.

The Guotie (fried dumpling) were very good! The skin was perfectly fried and crispy, they’re not too oily either which is a bonus. The pork fillings inside was tasty.

Five-spice dry tofu and Pork, egg and chives Dumpling. Both are good.

We also tried the Mushroom meat sauce noodle which I forgot to take picture of for some reason. It was delicious, I like more than the beef noodle we got last time.

The dry tofu looks like taro. Don’t think I have ever had that. Is it cold appetizer?
