Red Corner Asia (Hollywood Blvd)

By in 04: Los Feliz

We always craved Thai food for lunch during work days. With Jitlada and Ord Noodle, my co-workers and I haven’t been to Red Corner Asia as often as before, but whenever we go back we are never disappointed. This time we branched out from the usual dishes we usually get and got 3 new (for us) dishes:

RCA

Fish Cakes on Sticks – Fish cake patties seasoned with curry paste and green bean, deep fried and served with cucumber & peanut salad. Very delicious. The curry flavor was not too overpowering and gave a rich and interesting flavor to the fish cakes. In fact we originally ordered regular shrimp cake but the waitress made a mistake, definitely no complain from us though.

RCA

Tom Yum Fried Rice – Shrimp fried rice with spicy tom yum flavors, garnished with cucumber and cilantro. It’s interesting to taste tom yum as flavor of fried rice instead of the usual soup form.

RCA

Herb & Spicy Shrimp – Grilled shrimp topped with spicy sauce, garnished with crispy fried thin sliced garlic, shallots, lemon grass and crunchy cashew nuts. Served on a bed of crispy basil leaves. Amazing dish! I absolutely love the multi-flavors sauce. We have found our new must-get dish.

They all look so good~~!! Want to try Tom Yum fried rice for sure. Is it sour? I wonder why it is not more commonly available in Thai restaurants. I had Tom Yum cream pasta before hahaha.

Yeah the tom yum fried rice is sour and spicy. How’s the tom yum cream pasta?! did you have it at a Thai place or Yoshoku place? Sounds like it should be good!
