DSC09189.jpgFried Tofu and Mushroom. LA’s Chinatown is a lot like Little Saigon really these days, with many good Pho and Vietnamese restaurants. In recent years it’s also invaded by hipsters. Via Cafe is such union. There’s always a crowd of hipster kids hanging outside, or admiring their friends’ paintings inside. It’s located next to the designer toy store Munky King. The food are pretty good, traditional Vietnamese sandwich + pho + drink (with Taiwanese boba), the friendly all-asian youth appeal cafe food that can’t go wrong, plus artsy vibe (BGM that day was Jane Birkin :D) and cool looking people.

There are many trendy-packaged SE Asian cafes in Japan too. I guess the food is relatively easy to make and seldom goes wrong, also light on the stomach. Trendy cafes that serve chinese is so rare in comparison.
The fried tofu and mushroom is interesting!
