Lunch at Fred 62 today. It’s a hipster version of the All-American 50s Diner (like ‘Eatwell’ in Silverlake from previous entry). Other than the usual overpriced burger, breakfast, macaroni etc with wacky names, the hipster twist are: tofu/vegetarian and Asian stuffs (udon, thai). The sofa seat is pretty cool! The exterior is quite cool too, check it out at their website. Food wise….meh…..
Wimpy Burger $7.25 6 oz. patty medium rare with iceberg lettuce, sliced red onion, tomato, melted cheddar cheese and 1000 island dressing. Looks nice but taste light and too normal. I have to add bunch of Grey Poupon and ketchup in it.
The thing I hate about eating burger is that they stink my hand. MY god my hand still smell like burger as of now when I’m typing, I feel like being plague by that greasy patty smell that just won’t go away no matter how many times I washed my hands.
Sloppy G.I.Joe $8.75 6 oz. Spicy Vietnamese shredded beef. Looks not much different from a burger and no taste at all, have to enhance with lots of Grey Poupon and ketchup.
The paintings on the wall are awesome~~~ It’s making fun of those cheesy fireplace/diner scenary paintings with Ed Ruscha-ish monolithic letters! 😀 😀 😀
