Markie D’s (Culver City)

By in 13: Culver City

Once again, my friend/food hunter David always found these interesting places I’d never have tried, a Philly cheese steak place called Markie D’s.

Thin Crust Pepperoni Pizza is incredible! So crusty and the cheese, just hot melty cheese + crust just melt in your mouth. The PhillyCheese Steak was a bit tasteless though, too bland. We should have add pepper.

The onion rings are so good~ Melt in your mouth! This place seems famous, according to the autographs on the wall. ^^;;

Three of us shared this, with coupon including drinks it’s $6 each. So cheap! I rarely have very Americana food like this~ 😀 I learned about ‘cheese whiz’ too (this kraft processed cheese that they used to squeeze out onto the Philly cheese steak). ^^;;

    Guessing from the picture, Philly cheese steak is like baguette with cheese as filling and minced meat(?), onion(?) as topping?

    OMG 24 PARODY!!! (is 24 popular in Japan?)
    Yeah that’s philly cheese steak I think? with hotdog bun though, and gooey melty ‘cheese whiz’, you can add more toppings like bell pepper, mushroom, etc.

    Yeah, seems popular here? Gosh, after watching hours and hours of Jack doing exactly that: chasing after bad guys, helicopter rides, notebook connected to satellite, talking jargons to his mobile phone…it is too bizarre to see him in a parody!! ^^;;

    btw, the episode I just saw, the “Secretary of Defense” was lecturing his rebellious pacifist son(who was portrayed to be so childish and irrational), saying stuff like “don’t give me 6th grade Michael Moore logic”. ^^;;;;;; There are always Americans in the baddie side too, but I confess it does get a bit annoying sometimes…
