Csardas Hungarian Restaurant (Melrose)

By in 07: Mid-Wilshire

This Hungarian restaurant is one of those I drove by everyday and everytime I wonder about it. I heard about their buffet and good freshly baked bread. The night we went didn’t have buffet.

The bread is very good! Stuffed Mushroom.

I got the Wiener Snitzel (veal cutlet fried in breadcrumbs). The fried breadcrumbs was light but the veal was bland. The cabbage side is very tasty~ Joan has the Stuffed green peppers with ground pork and rice in tomato sauce, very tasty!

The owner gave us this bread to take home (he joked that we left this the last time we were there. :D). Too bad it was so empty that night, we felt lonely…^^;;

    Did you go on a weekday?
    Hungarian food has a lot of fried stuff?

    Yeah, on a thursday night. But usually Thurs night is a ‘go out night’ for people here, but maybe only applies to trendy restaurants/bars…^^;;;
    Hungarian food is also famous for Paprika? I wanna try that too!
