We’ve dined at Cafe Beaujolais (1, 2, 3) plenty of times but this is the first time I try their lunch “counterpart” Le Petit Beaujolais, which is few blocks away across the street. Just like Cafe Beaujolais, it’s a casual French bistro/bakery that offer simple hearty french dishes. They have a extensive brunch menu on the weekend, everything are reasonably priced.
There’re a few brunch combo dishes on the menu. Jon got the Steak + Omelette + potato($9.50) and I got the French toast + sausage + 2 sunny side up ($9.25). Great to have all my fav. brunch necessities on one plate. The French toast was great, fluffy and buttery. Jon’s steak was a bit over-done and chewy though. We ended up really stuffed and had to take a stroll in the neighbourhood for awhile.
A big minus: one of the waiters got major attitude. All we asked for (politely) was brown sugar for my coffee and a glass of water for Jon, and this particular waiter responded unbelievably snotty. Urgghhh….

What? The waiter thinks brown sugar and water are too much to ask when the food is cheap? -o-;;
who knows! His respond to us was “Can I get you a trip to Paris too?” in a non-joking way!
