Amandine Patissiere (Westwood)

By in 10: Beverly Hills

DSC01566.jpgDSC01567.jpgDSC01565.jpgRain pouring whole day. Took Tina and Jason to Amandine~ They bought 10 breads to take away! *0* I only bought three and they were eaten by my parents. They have really good coffee. The two soup Mushroom Creme and Tomato Vegetable are not mine. I tried a spoonful and both are pretty good.

DSC01569.jpgAmandine Salad $8.5 Lot of stuffs: Tuna salad, cheese, ham, olives, mushroom…

DSC01573.jpgMushroom and Omlette Sandwich $8 Pretty good!

DSC01576.jpgDSC01578.jpgPumpkin Tart $3.45 Yummy! Seems like this is their signature/popular item, I had the last piece. Caramel, Banana and Walnut $3.45 Just the right sweetness, sooo good!!!

DSC01580.jpgDSC01581.jpgNot mine. Strawberry Shortcake and Amandine Tart, look a bit too normal ^^;; Tina’s willing to try the least popular ones there. I taste a bit and they’re both good!

    Oh the pumpkin tart has cream and choc powder on it, looks good! Actually they all look good. Hey, shortcake can be very very nice if done well~~~Simplest thing is the hardest to make right~~~not that I know how to make…^^;;;

  2. seat says:

    Oh so funny that you said your bread “were eaten” by your parents, as if they were cows or pigs or something. ^^;;;;;

  3. Freda says:

    Hahaha~ half of the bread was gone the night I brought home (they ate them as midnight snack ^^;;;)

    Yeah I think if the strawberries are fresh and sweet and cream very light (like this one here) it can be very good but never ‘heavenly’ level because it’s still just a shortcake ^^;;

    the short cake was pretty good for me. i love fresh cream, but only when they are FRESH!!! but i still like the one from Urth cafe the best. they make it into 3 layer cake packed with fresh berries, and the cake itself is nice and moist. . . X)

  5. Freda says:

    Really~ I gotta try it someday. There’ll be an Urth Caff

    poor Freda, I know what you mean. . . Jason’s old place only have Starbucks and I always pick up coffee from Peets before I go see him so I won’t have to suffer. . . but i forgot once, and the double shot latte I got from Starbucks wasn’t even strong enough compare to Peet’s brewed coffee. . . I was so mad that i spend almost $4.00 on shitty coffee!!! i couldn’t even finish it and just throw it away after couple slip. btw, why did Joan stop drinking coffee? I don’t think I can ever let coffee out of my life. . .
    Is Stardust the same place Veron freelanced before? I remember her telling me before she went to seattle that she worked at some company surrounded by beautiful little shops and bakery. . . wonder if it’s the same place. . .

  7. Freda says:

    The place Vero freelanced at was Blind. Yesterday’s lunch (and also the Ramenya) I was meeting up with a friend who’s freelancing at Blind now (and brought the Blind crowd). It was next to 3rd St. Promenade. DK’s LA office (where Paul works) was around here too. There’re lots of design studios on Main st., Yuri’s office is here, so is another motion place called Motion Theory (Earl is staff there). Also a lot of movie trailer houses. Such a small world as everyone knows everyone. Someone who were freelancing at IF before is now freelance in Stardust (it’s like “hey you~~”), and if you dropped a name everyone know who you’re talking about. But I haven’t bump into anyone just by walking on street yet though ^^;;;
