I meet up a friend for lunch at this Indian market that also serve Southern Indian Vegetarian food. Love the smell of spice and goods inside!

Pani Puri. You ate these puff Puri hard shell by cracking the top, filled it with spoonful of chick pea, onion with mashed potatoes, then dipped the entire thing into this cold herby minty soup known as Pani (made with tamarind, mint & spices including cumin and black salt). It is…a bit odd tasting. The minty chill soup is very shocking sensation…so cooling!

From the buffet, I can’t remember what they are. Some have cheese, some are yogurt. I like the brown one with fried potatoes.

Samosa, yum! We also got this sugary ball, which I’m guessing is Ladoo. The lady at the counter referred as a “guilt free” dessert. ^^;; The front counter is filled with interesting looking Indian sweets and icecream~ I can’t wait to try them all.

    The Pani Puri is interesting!! But cold minty curry(?) soup is kinda weird~
    The plates and bowls are all plastic/paper? A bit unenvironmental friendly. ^^;;

    Americans are known for their unenvironmentally friendly ways, I was quite shocked when I just got here from NZ! Hey the puri thing sounds good (yeah I know you said it’s odd ^^;;), kinda want to try it!

    The cold minty cumin spice soup almost taste a bit like…chinese herb medicine…^^;;;;
