Back to Cube with several co-workers. This time we all stick with Pastas. Fettuccine with turkey Bolognese, Papperdelle with porcini mushroom sauce, Arugula Salad with gorgonzola & walnuts.

The Lobster Rivioli is absolutely tasty! I forgot what the other two riviolis were, everyone loves his/her dishes nonethless. Cube’s home-made pasta just tasted so fresh and springy.

DSCN8953.jpgThe waiter generously gave us 3 servings of the today’s cheese and lots of bread. Great service!

President Thai (Rosemead)

//// By in 01: San Gabriel

This SGV Thai restaurant is always crowded and popular for many years, it’s closed to my parent’s house but we never tried it. Finally…

The lightly too salted Pork Skewer and tasty and creamy Tom Kah Soup.

I forgot the name, it is a mixed seafood pot with red curry. The seafood, especially the shrimps are incredibly fresh and crispy. Despite the sweetness of the curry, it actually somehow enhance the ocean taste and natural sweetness of the crab. VERY good.

The menu has a lot of seafood dishes, though most are general Thai/Chinese cuisine offerings.

Nook Neighborhood Bistro (West LA)

//// By in 11: West LA

Dinner with 2 friends, back at Nook Bistro.
DSC02018.jpgDSC02015.jpg
Mine: Maple Mustard Glazed Ribeye with brandy-apple saute and crispy buttermilk onions. Medium rare, perfectly grilled, very juicy very good! The onion rings are so thinly sliced and delicate, very seasoned~ My friend’s Oregon Tilapia crispy with roasted beets, fennel, Nicoise olives, haricorts verts and soy orange emulsion.
DSC02013.jpgDSC02021.jpg
Arctic Charr with autumn squash and shiitake risotto, maple sage brown butter. Brownie Cup with Vanilla Gelato, taste like shouffle. My friends liked it for not sweet at all, but it was a bit too light for me.
DSC02022.jpgChocolate Banana Bread Pudding, very yummy with strong banana flavor, with fine bitter chocolate taste. Though the top layer seems a bit stale (sit for awhile as it was pretty late?)

Pumpkin Risotto, Halloween’s over, Autumn is ending soon (but it’s still hot like summer here), and pumpkin is still at large. This is incredibly delicious, I savored every bite, so good~ This macrobiotic restaurant/deli is one of the most blogged places on my blog, but I still haven’t tried their bento box yet (they looked great).

We wanted to eat light, so we went to this Korean soup & noodle place. Clam soup hand pull noodle, the noodle are fresh and soft, there’re actually quite a lot of clams in it.
DSC02005.jpgDSC02007.jpg
Homemade Mandoo, thin chewy skin, yummy veggie fillings, nice! The homemade Green onion chilli sauce is so good too.
DSC01998.jpgI love the homemade-ness here, they have mandoo (dumplings) in soup too.
