Bargain chain Target’s Go International line gets high end fashion label designed for bargain price. This time it’s Francaise’s Paul & Joe. There’s a boutique opened up on Melrose. Compare to previous lines (Tara, Luella), Paul & Joe’s are pretty nice on the details and much less teeny bopper. Putting these clothes in an high end boutique space just suddenly make them looked more expensive. 😀 It was crowded, and the best stuffs were all gone. I’d make another trip next week (new shipment), happy shopping before it closed.

Yan’s Starters: Herloom Tomato Salad with Green & Opal Basil, Mozzarella cheese with Extra Virgin Olive oil and her entree is what I had last time: Togarashi-seared Albacore with seaweed salad.

My pick: Corn Salad with Burrata Cheese & Balsamic Glaze, very fresh and sweet corn, contrast with the deep glaze sauce. Grilled Sturgeon with Wild Rice, Cucumber Relish and Lobster Reduction, so juicy and tasty~ Every bite is bursting with delight. Though the rice and sauce gets a bit strong tasting (need wine).

Christine: Tomato cream soup and Seared Chicken Breast with Parsnip Puree, Corn Succotash, Gingered Tomato Compote & Jimenez Vinaigrette. I tried a few bites, delicious~

The desserts are sorbet, Chocolate Flourless cake (2 orders) and Lemon & Blackberry Tart with sorbet & Honey Sauce. I had the later and it is incredible. It has very fresh custard inside the crispy crust, so yummy~
It was pretty full that day so the plates came a bit slower than usual. 0_o;;; But still very satisfied. Gorgeous dazzling lunch~

I’m always curious about this Mexican seafood joint right next to Angel Maid Bakery. My friend got a recommendation for its ceviche.

The Chips with pureed jalapeno peppers and lime juice salsa was quite spicy but irresistable. On the menu they don’t seems to have fish ceviche. Shrimp ceviche $11. The shrimps looked a bit grey, overall very tasty, fresh chops and strong spicy hits!

Filete a la Diabla: pan fried bass with chiles mexicano sauce. The skin was crispy and even though it’s a bit too salty, it is so tasty that I can’t stop eating (but it’s very spicy, I had to take break). The chili sauce taste a bit similar to the Taiwanese hot sauce. The flavored rice and grilled veggie are both very good too. It’d have go well with beer. On the right is Garlic Shrimp, by the time this came out my tongue was numb by the fish’s spiceness. I recalled it was quite good.
Shrimp Empanada was a bit…bare…inside. ^^;; My mouth was on fire until I got a coke (ice water prolong and increase the spiceness 10 times). It was Made-in-Mexico Coca-Cola that used sugar cane instead of corn syrup, and it does taste better and less sweet! All these were shared by three people, we were so full.

Just when I thought there’s nothing much around closed to where I worked, I found an elaborate looking sushi restaurant well hidden in a mini-mall. It has a ‘no-shoe allowed inside’ gimmick. I had the sashimi set while my friend had the sushi set (not in photo). The menu seems Americanize (garlic tuna!?). Nothing wow nor memorable, the tuna was a bit dark color and rubbery texture. But it is an alright place for sudden sushi craving at that area.
