Tourisy Pictures @ Midtown NYC

//// By in Travel

I did the ritual walk to Rockerfella Center and took touristy pictures! 😀

Time Square is err…quite a sight (as in so very flashy and unapologetic ^^;;). Knowing my destination is MoMA made the walk more tolerable. After a night of snow and rain, the weather warmed up nicely.

I walked west bound all for this French pastries I read about in a mag before, luckily I reached there just before it closed. The Black Forest Mousse cake is soooo incredible (gosh want to eat it again T__T). The wined-cherries are so rich and biting. Much better than Ceci-Cela.

Cafe de Bruxelles (NYC: Greenwich Village)

By the time I went to the Greenwich Village it’s already nightime and I got lost. And it started snowing! O,o;;; I dashed into the first bookstore I saw and got a Michelin guidebook for maps. I also checked out its restaurant guide and found this Belgian bistro.

Belgian beer. Raw oyster…how can I resist?

The menu is all about mussels and fries. My goodness the fries are so good~ They melt in your mouth. I got the onion cream soup~ yum! The place is soon packed. It’s an unpretenious non-scene type that I feel comfy in.

Ceci-Cela Patisserie (NYC: Soho)

I was walking rather aimlessly in Soho and I needed hot drink to warm up. This tiny French pastries locates at the east side and looks unpretentious. The Pear William Cake was too fridged~~ o_O;;; It chilled me so that even the chai latte didn’t warm me up.

I wasn’t hungry from the breakfast but I needed hot soup. I randomly enter here. The food is very blah~~~ Consider Soho is right next to Littly Italy, this Italian restaurant is just too generic and no good.
