Mojito-ish Mint Lemonade and Apple/Cherry Cider.
Chocolate mousse cake. Quite good! My entire xmas feels like nothing by shopping (in a non-fun task way). And when you’re exhausted and wanted to sit down, LA is really seriously lacking non Starbuck sidewalk cafe with decent non-caffeine drinks and cakes…even at supposedly ‘made for walking’ section’ like Promenade.

Too bad they don’t have crab meat dumplings, but this is incredibly good too. The skin is a bit thick but it’s so smooth and just melt in your mouth. The soup inside is delicious. Everything is very tasty.
Both Joan and I will be going to New York tomorrow (will be online too as I’m bringing my laptop). Joan will be back after New Year and I’ll stay there for 3 weeks~

Dean & Deluca (NYC: Midtown)
//// By Freda in 03: NYC
There are quite a few of Dean and Deluca cafes and gourmet markets in Manhattan, this one I stopped by for refreshment was the one in the background of the morning show ‘Today Show.’ The Raspberry cake is way too sweet and blah~~ yuk!

The cafe in Museum of Modern Art is unbelievably gourmet! I had the Roasted lamb leg with braised swiss chard and anson mills polenta. It’s fantastic, so tasty, tender and juicy~

The museum is packed with gems. I especially like the special Odilon Redon show, the book printing of his charcoal drawings doesn’t do any justice at all. I spend most of the day here…very satisfied.
