So busy these past couple days to organize my food pictures. I finally get around to put up these pictures:

Few weeks ago there was a Custom Qee Show called Graphic Contents at Mixi-bang, featuring custom designs from graphic design and motion graphics studios. Basically it was one giant industry gathering…at that small shop space. We deliberately arrived way late to avoid the crowd, hence I got clean picture of the designs. My favorites are the above one from MK12 and Exopolis. See more pictures on my Flickr! My friend’s design was also selling at the store.

Angelino Heights is a historic landmark neighbourhood located between Echo Park and China town. It’s a surprise to find such a beautiful neighbourhood among the usual ghetto-ish Echo Park. There are lots of amazing victorian houses, especially on Carroll Avenue. The area looks more like San Francisco then LA. Some houses are well presesrved while some are very run down. The horse pole is for tying horse carriages.

There’s an open house for The Phillips Residence and of course we have to check it out. It was built in 1887 and was a designated Cultural Historic Monument. The Victorian style interior are amazing and well preserved. I felt like travelling back in time inside the house. The house is selling for $2+ million, ouch~~

I blogged about Grub long time ago, since then I’ve only had order-in from them at work from time to time (I usually get the Carnita wrap). My friend raved about their breakfast menu before so I have to give it try. The Bacon side order Jon got is delicious! The bacon seems to be cooked with BBQ sauce (?) so they got an extra sweet and salty flavor to them which I like a lot. I tried the French Toast which is quite different from what you normally get at other places. There’re options of Crossaint and raisin bread and I chose crossaint. I’m not sure if crossaint works that well for french toast compare with regular toast, it’s definitely different and interesting to try but the more I eat it the more I find it a bit too soggy for my liking. I like the side order of Chicken Sausage a lot, they’re cook with Pesto sauce and bell peppers.

Pani Puri. You ate these puff Puri hard shell by cracking the top, filled it with spoonful of chick pea, onion with mashed potatoes, then dipped the entire thing into this cold herby minty soup known as Pani (made with tamarind, mint & spices including cumin and black salt). It is…a bit odd tasting. The minty chill soup is very shocking sensation…so cooling!

From the buffet, I can’t remember what they are. Some have cheese, some are yogurt. I like the brown one with fried potatoes.

Samosa, yum! We also got this sugary ball, which I’m guessing is Ladoo. The lady at the counter referred as a “guilt free” dessert. ^^;; The front counter is filled with interesting looking Indian sweets and icecream~ I can’t wait to try them all.

This lovely bakery at Beverly Hills is also a ‘shop’, selling pretty home goods.

Chicken Sausage Panini: perfectly grilled, light and fine quality sausages, yum! And the slightly too sour Tomato Soup. This is supposedly a half & half, but the soup is like a full big bowl, I had to take half home.

Macaron, the real reason why I come here for. I only got half of their flavors: Vanilla, Orange, Pumpkin Spice, Pistachio, Rose, Lavender. Freshly baked, so good!!!
They also have breakfast all day, plenty of other breads and cakes, all looked tempting…oh I wish this were my neighborhood bakery!
