豚スンドゥブ(みそベース):豚肉、あさり、豆腐、しいたけ、ネギ、油揚げ、貝柱、芝エビ。ランチセットは、ご飯、ナムル、キムチ、デザート付きで、900円。 トッポギはトッピングで100円。辛さはベリーホット。
Pork “Sundub” lunch set. Ingredients are pork, clam, tofu(soft type), shiitake mushroom, spring onion, deep-fried tofu, scallop, prawns. Extra order of Korean mochi stick. Two kinds of soup base and I chose miso. Three level of hotness and of course I had “Very hot”. The menu’s suggestion is to eat the first half of the rice with the soup, and then add the Namul, chilli paste and the soup into the rest of the rice and eat it like a bibimbap. I did that and it was really nice. The soup is really delicious anyway, whatever you do with it, it will be good.

オニオングラタンスープ。仔羊肩ロースのロースト・ドライトマトソース。
Onion gratin soup. Roasted lamb in dried tomato sauce. Both were very good! My friend ordered guinea fowl and gave me a bite to try, very yummy too. The waitress was very friendly.

生姜風味のブランマンジェとチョコレートのムース。
Ginger Blanc manger and chocolate mousse. The dessert is a bit weak, compared to the good quality of previous courses. Lunch menu is surprisingly large to give more variety than most French restaurants offer at lunch. Price ranging from 1000yen to 2800yen. Took a bunch of friends who were rather broke but wanted good food, so the 1000yen lunch was my original plan. But once I said the onion soup was very good here, and only the 2800yen lunch included that…plan changed immediately. ^^;;
Been here before(see tag). I wanted the same onion soup but I completely forgot that I had lamb last time and ordered lamb again….even the sauce was the same! Damn! ^^;; Oh and you don’t have to split from big plates yourself at lunch time. Great for lazy butts like me!

白のもつ鍋(みそ)。赤のもつ鍋(しょうゆ)。
White “motsu” hotpot. Red “motsu” hotpot. White is miso, red is soy sauce, “motsu” is cow intestine. All very good! I like the white more. We added noodles to the soup which was heaven. Though I stank of garlic apparently but you simply don’t notice it yourself. ^^;; Everyone was saying this place is super popular and very difficult to book, which I am lucky not to have to do it myself. ^^;;

超特選にぎり、2100円。 中とろ2カン、うに、たい、赤貝、松葉がに、大甘海老、イクラ、穴子、ねぎとろ巻き、玉子。
あぶりづくし、819円。
The 2100yen set has two toro, uni, bream, ark shell, crab, shrimp, salmon roe, anago, spring onion and tuna roll, and sweet egg. Very fresh and big size(while the rice is small)! We shared the flame-cooked sushi set, and I had the toro, very good!

秋刀魚、157円。関サバ、350円。白子焼き、850円。
The seasonal stuff, two san-ma(saury?) and one seki-saba(mackerel). Both are good! The mackerel is so cheap yet very fatty. Grilled shirako is the seafood version of foie gras, creamy!
This place is always very crowded and you have to queue forever. I went once before, like 4 or 5 years ago. It was very delicious but the long wait put me off from going back again. This time we went at 9pm on a weekday and we were seated very quickly! Though we had to order everything quickly cos the last order was 10pm.

姫サザエとうにのエスカルゴ風グラタン。
Galette with quail and Cepe truffle – my friend’s appetizer. Gosh it is big as a main.
Turban shell and uni, escargot gratin – my choice. The uni is at the bottom, unfortunately too cooked to taste uni at all. The sea snails are a bit oily but very nice.

ほろほろ鳥もも肉のパテ詰めのロースト、アンディーブのグラタン添え。
Assorted Platinum pork(Braised, confit and sausage) – my friend’s main.
Roasted pate-stuffed guinea fowl, gratin of endives – my choice. The guinea fowl is soft and tender, a bit light, but the liver pate gives it a rich meaty savoury taste. The sauce is slightly salty and the endive gratin a bit watery though.

バナナのプリンと塩キャラメルのアイスクリーム。
Peach compote and almond milk sorbet – my friend’s dessert.
Banana pudding and salt caramel ice-cream – my choice. This dessert is incredible!! The ice-cream is salty, bitter, and caramel sweet all at once! (*o*)!! Banana pudding with fresh banana slices is nice, the brownish jelly is bitter and has alcohol taste, veeeeeeeeery good~~~
With amuse and petits fours, the dinner course is 5250yen. Also ordered a Kir Royal, and a decanter of red wine to share between 2 people, came to 7000yen each. Actually quite a good deal.
Been here for lunc before(see tag). Damn I just realise I had chicken last time…^^;;

秋なすびムサカ。
Moussaka. A bit shocked when it came…it looked nothing like Moussaka! ^^;; It was just minced lamb meat stuffed inside a huge aubergine. The aubergine and all the other grilled vegetables were still very raw. Usually I am okay with lamb’s smell but this one smelt a bit too strong. Ratatouille sauce was great though.

So happy when the waitress said there was fresh herb tea…but either they put too little or the mint leaves were not strong flavour enough, even after brewing for quite a while, the tea was still rather tasteless. The environment was so nice though….
